Feeding Thousands Across Africa, One Meal at a Time
When St Augustine of Hippo said, “The measure of love is to love without measure,” he probably had no idea how many hearts he would enlighten with the spark of charity, bringing smiles to the faces of countless others. This is the mission that the Faith-chat platform is currently totally dedicated to.
In a heartwarming mission spanning four years, the Faith-Chat Platform Charity initiative has been committed to delivering sustenance and essential aid to underprivileged children, youth, and elderly individuals throughout Africa.
Since 2022, inspired by the teachings of Jesus in Matthew 14:16 and Mark 6:37 to “give them something to eat yourselves”, the initiative has prioritized feeding the hungry during the Easter season, embodying the spirit of compassion and generosity. Since the charity outreach’s start, around 7,000 people have received meals as a result of these selfless acts of love and generosity.
In a remarkable display of solidarity, the initiative’s efforts have grown exponentially. From feeding over a thousand individuals in Lagos, Nigeria, in 2022, to extending its reach to four African countries: Nigeria, Mozambique, Ghana and Kenya; feeding 5,000 people in 2023, the impact of Faith-chat platform charity initiative continues to ripple across communities.
Now, in 2024, the body sets its sights higher, aiming to provide nourishment to 7,000 individuals in 10 cities across five African nations, including Nigeria, Cameroon, Mozambique, Kenya, and Ghana.
But the success of this noble endeavor hinges on collective support. Fr. James Anyaegbu, the Founder/Director, extends heartfelt gratitude to past supporters while issuing a rallying call for new allies to join the cause, emphasizing that every contribution, no matter how modest, makes a difference.
