Fr. James 10th Anniversary Celebration

Fr. James Anyaegbu is celebrating the 10th anniversary of his ordination to the Roman Catholic priesthood. It is a significant milestone in his life and ministry, and he wants to express his gratitude to God for the privilege of being His messenger in the ministerial priesthood of the Church.

Fr. James has dedicated eight of the ten years to serving as a missionary in the Highlands of Scotland, where he still ministers to seven Catholic communities from the east to the west coast. His tireless work and commitment have had a significant impact on the communities he serves, and he has become an integral part of their lives.

To mark this special occasion, Fr. James invites his parishioners to join him in a Mass of thanksgiving, where he will express his gratitude to God for the blessings and grace he has received throughout his ministry. The date and details of the event are on the poster.

The Mass will be graced by the presence of Bishop Hugh Gilbert, the Bishop of the Diocese of Aberdeen, who will be preaching on the day. Bishop Hugh Gilbert is a seasoned preacher and a great Shepherd, and his presence will add significance to this celebration.

The event is open to all members of the Catholic community and anyone else who would like to join in the celebration of Fr. James’s remarkable achievement. It is an opportunity to come together as a community and give thanks to God for the gift of Fr. James’ ministry.

  1. The 10th anniversary of priestly ordination of Fr James, assistant priest, is certainly an apt occasion for parish celebration: an appropriate Mass and refreshments afterwards.
But in the Cathedral, 110 miles away from Beauly, many more from Ullapool?
The early start, the cost, the petrol, the environment, Laudato Sí!
Might such a venture possibly give the impression of hubris, pretentiousness?
